ITI Adventure - Indiana Teen Institute
For nearly seven years we have been asked: "Is there a difference between ITI Adventure and Indiana Teen Institute?" The definitive answer is: "sort of."
Nearly fifty percent of ITI's programs are customized programs for corporate and other "adult" audiences. Years ago it was difficult for some non-youth organizations to overcome the "teen" obstacle found right smack in the middle of our name. Thus, ITI Adventure was born.
Indiana Teen Institute continues its more than 20 year tradition of offering quality, summer conferences and other programs designed to develop youth leaders to promote safer and healthier Hoosier communities. Partnering with agencies such as ITPC, Indiana Teen Institute remains focused on youth and the adults who work with youth. A large percentage of the ITI Team prefers to develop and facilitate these programs, the cornerstone being the residential, summer conferences. Julianne M. Stewart is the Project Director for the Indiana Teen Institute program.
In 2006, ITI Adventure will begin its seventh year of developing custom, experiential programs to equip leaders and build teams. Mark R. Kaser is the Program Director. ITI Adventure has worked with groups with fewer than five participants and groups with more than 500 participants. We have worked with corporate clients, such as United Technologies Carrier, higher education institutions such as the University of Notre Dame and high school faculties such as Presque Isle High School in northern Maine.
Just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so may be the subtleties of a name change. Regardless, the ITI team looks forward to a long future of equipping leaders and building teams.
