Is there evidence that adventure education programs are effective?
Apart from numerous client testimonials, there are oodles of research articles documenting how and why it works. Components of a successful program include things like challenge by choice, the experiential learning cycle, reflecting techniques, sequencing, facilitator to participant ratio, and most importantly, fun. In the hands of skilled facilitators, the nuts and bolts coupled with sound education principles equal effective programs.

Is ITI just an Indiana thing?
Nope, we travel. For reasons that might seem obvious, we give priority to requests originating from Indiana. We do, however, enjoy the occasional road trip. That's the beauty of portable adventure!
Fee or Free?
In our "ideal world" we would provide services for free. In the "real world," like you, we have expenses to contend with. Our fees are influenced by a number of factors. Like most not for profit organizations (ITI is an affiliate program of Vincennes University), we rely on a number of funding sources. These sources include grants, private donations, and registration-consultation fees. Sort of a long winded way of saying our program fees are determined by the number of participants, the length of the event, negotiated expenses, etc...

What's the deal with the rubber chickens?
Why not ask what's the deal with water or air?  I mean, come on, who hasn't wished for a world where rubber chickens were as common as . . .as. . . as chicken?  The real deal?  They're fun and they illicit smiles, we're not sure how, but they do! Please visit our virtual chicken coop for pictures.
Where do you offer your Workshops and Programs?
Most of the time we come to you, or a site near you - our programs are designed to be flexible and portable! There are also many events held in close proximity to our offices in Indianapolis, the Circle City.
Will you teach me to "bake" or, to end the metaphor, effectively use adventure activities?
First of all, take a gander at the parenthetical clause in the bubble to the left. Secondly, our Bookshelf page and the Links page feature an abundance of resources. Be sure to browse the Bookshelves. Finally, ITI's Program Director, Mark, has several reviews and a few recommendation lists published on Amazon.com
May I buy your cookie cutter or do I have to buy your cookies?
We are not a fan of "one size fits all" programs. Not only do customized programs better serve clients, but our team thrives on the creative process of developing truly unique experiences. Although we don't sell "cookies", we'd be pleased to "serve" your group or "teach you to bake" (check out our FUNdamentals of Experiential Learning Workshops).
