ITI encourages administrators, coordinators and sponsors to carefully review candidates interested in attending a summer camp. It is helpful to screen applicants to ensure the most capable and qualified youth and adult community representatives attend. The ITI Team discourages communities from using a “First come, first served,” or “Any volunteers?” recruitment process. Rather, we suggest selecting applicants who best meet the following criteria.
Middle School Youth participants must be in grades 6-8 in 2010-11

The Indiana Teen Institute has a 28 year commitment of providing quality summer camps while keeping the financial burden for  participating  teams to a minimum. The 2011 all inclusive team registration fees are as follows (a team is defined as four youth participants and one adult participant):
High School Camp, Monday, July 18 - Friday, July 22
    All inclusive registration is $300 per participant.
    All inclusive registration is reduced to $275 per participant if registering 6 or more.
* A reservation will be held when the registration form, and payment or purchase order number, is received.  All payments are refundable, less a $150 administrative fee, if the ITI office receives the cancellation request no less than 15 business days prior to the event.  Fees are non-refundable if cancellation notification is received with fewer than 15 business days.  All fees must be paid by August 31, 2011.  Late fees may accrue a penalty of 5% interest per month after August 31, 2011.
Space is limited at each session and reservations are not valid until the Team Registration Form is received and/or your reservation is confirmed by ITI via phone, email, or postal mail.
Each individual team member must also complete separate  ITI consent forms.

All youth and adult participants must be able and willing to attend THE ENTIRE PROGRAM, participate in all scheduled activities (ITI is an active, intensive leadership experience), follow the rules and regulations of ITI and Vincennes University. Participants may not possess or use tobacco products, alcohol, or other illicit substances at any time.

How to Recruit Dynamic Participants!
Eligible youth and adult participants must:
  • Have demonstrated leadership potential.
  • Have demonstrated the maturity and ability to work as a team member.
  • Have demonstrated tolerance of those seen as different from him/herself.
  • Be making healthy decisions concerning alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
  • Have a desire to improve conditions for Hoosiers in their community and beyond.
  • Be prepared for an Active & Rigorous, indoor-outdoor experience!
  • Have the ability to attend the entire conference.
  • Be willing and capable of following all rules and guidelines established by ITI.
  • Meet the session age requirements.
  • Have parental-guardian consent to attend as a youth participant.
  • Have time and energy to take action upon return to the community.
The ITI Team also encourages organizations to select new, youth participants each year.
