New ITI Scholarship Awards
As part of our 25th anniversary celebration last summer, we were pleased to announce two new annual ITI scholarship awards:
The Richard Woods scholarship award allows a first time participating school or community team to attend our summer camp tuition free. Please contact our office for more information and eligibility criteria.
The Phyllis Lewis scholarship award will cover all tuition and travel fees for an ITI facilitator or adult participant to attend an approved national conference. Information will be distributed to eligible applicants during the summer camps.
Please contact the ITI office if you would like to make a contribution to support one or both scholarship awards.
2009 Summer Leadership Camps
The dates are set, the web site has been updated and the first wave of brochures have been mailed. We have already received a HS team application from Allen County. Facilitator applications are slowly trickling in (kudos to second year facilitator, Jalynne Foley, for submitting the first application). In other words, the 2009 ITI summer leadership camps will be underway before we know it.
Each year we make a commitment to create the best possible camp experience from whatever resources we have at our disposal. Fortunately, our 2009 resources include the tremendous support of Vincennes University, our ongoing partnership with the Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Agency, the generous contributions of past ITI facilitators and participants, and a terrific 2009 team that continues to grow.
