U.S. Development Policy
CSIS provides recommendations to ensure that the United States possesses the tools necessary to remain the preeminent player in global development in the twenty-first century. By shaping the debate on both sides of the aisle and offering Congress and the executive branch actionable recommendations, CSIS hopes to help position the United States to achieve its foreign policy and national security goals. This work is primarily undertaken by the Project on Prosperity and Development (PPD) and the Project on U.S. Leadership in Development, though other programs like the Global Health Policy Center and the Global Food Security Program also contribute toward this mission.
